A quick yet suspenseful read that starts you on a wild ride the moment you open to the first page!
Zoe is the daughter of FBI Agents and we begin her story on the last day of senior year. After being kidnapped and witnessing a tragic murder, she is shipped off to a safe house and put into protective custody while awaiting trial. Enter Nash Garrison. If you love a boy in uniform, then boy do I have the book boyfriend for you! Nash is sweet, extremely protective, and honest. Despite the ten year ago difference, he sees the woman Zoe is becoming and but must refrain from acting on it while she is "young" and under his protection.
This story is told in two parts, one when things go down in Zoe's life and the other 6 years later when she finally lands her dream job and starts seriously looking into the bastard that killed her parents.
This was my first Jacob Chance book and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. Edge of Retribution was full of suspense, mystery, and passion! I found myself flying through the pages to get answers, and was thrilled that despite the thriller portion of the book, there was some humor to lighten it up as well.
