Originally, Darling Words started as a way for me to chronicle my own journey as I went from someone who wrote for pleasure and didn't share my writing with anyone, to someone who was working towards self-publishing and eventual publication. While that is still the long term goal, I have found that I do my best writing when I do it with the intention of only myself reading it. Reading and writing is a large majority of my life, I could not breathe or live without doing either, but I also know that being an author (at least full time) is not in the cards for me.
And what, exactly, am I getting at here? Maybe that I love to read and write, and am going to subject the internet to my random musings, research, helpful hints, and bookly recommendations? You would be correct if that was your guess.
Darling Words is more than just me. Literature always has been. I haven't been the first bibliophile, and I certainly won't be the last. From now on, it will be all books and writing sources and ideas, all the time.
We will be kicking off this little shake up tomorrow morning with the cover reveal for the newest book by one of my favorite authors, Emma Hart. If you haven't read anything by Emma, you are missing out! Sassy and bad ass female leads, hot male alphas, and some of the funniest characters and situations you can think of. Her novels never fail to disappoint me, and I find myself counting down the days to every release! I absolutely loved her novel Being Brooke, mostly because her hot mess of a female character reminded me a lot of myself. It was that book, and her Holly Woods Files series that really cemented my love of Emma and her wit and humor. BONUS: every book (with the exception of Miss Mechanic) includes at least ONE Harry Potter reference. Gotta love any author who throws in some Potter.
